Studio Associato Planta is equipped with a complete range of advanced instruments for tree stability assessment and phytosanitary diagnostics, based on the most modern arboricultural investigation technologies.
This technological equipment allows Studio Associato Planta to carry out highly accurate tree risk assessments and diagnostic investigations, even on large trees or specimens of particular historical, landscape or ecological value.
Pulling Test
The firm performs controlled pulling tests (Pulling Test) in accordance with international protocols for tree risk assessment, using both traditional systems with mechanical load application and innovative methodologies that directly exploit natural wind forces, allowing the biomechanical behaviour of trees to be analysed under real environmental conditions.
Internal investigations
For the internal investigation of wood condition and root plate distribution, several non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques are available, including sonic and electrical wood tomography, root mapping using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and densitometric analysis with resistograph instruments. These technologies allow the detection of cavities, decay and structural defects without causing damage to tree tissues.
Investigations can be further supported by infrared thermography, useful for detecting physiological anomalies and stress conditions, as well as laboratory equipment for phytopathological analysis, enabling in-depth diagnosis and identification of possible pathogens or stress factors.
